Preferred attire§
For the wedding, the dress code is cocktail attire.
Description
Cocktail attire is a balance between elegant and comfortable - more formal than
a day wedding but more casual than a night celebration: a suit and tie with a crisp
shirt, dress pants and shoes for men; a shorter formal dress or an elegant jumpsuit
for women. This means wear something you feel fabulous in. We want everyone to
dance!
For the welcome drinks, the preferred attire is smart casual.
Description
Smart casual is business wear with elements of casual attire. Smart casual is more
formal than dressy casual (jeans and blouses) and less formal than business casual
(dress pants and pencil skirts). A common way to achieve a smart casual look is
to pair pieces of the two formality levels. Elements of smart casual wear include
blouses, polo shirts, button-downs, chinos, dress pants, dark-wash jeans, and practical
footwear, probably not all at the same time.
